It’s so true, everyone can garden and we’re here to show you how. At Schriemer’s, we’ll take the mystery out of creating beautiful yards and gardens. We’re all about providing the necessary information needed to make gardening easy and enjoyable. Many gardeners make much more work for themselves than is necessary, only because they’re lacking in gardening knowledge. That’s why we offer seminars and workshops as well as hand-outs to take home with you. Whether you’re purchasing a perennial, a houseplant or a tropical plant, just ask for a care sheet and we’ll be glad to supply it.

Many of our staff are passionate gardeners themselves, with years of experience in growing flowers, vegetables, trees and shrubs. With this many years of gardening experience, a number of tips, tricks and home-made recipes and remedies have been collected to combat many different problems, and, we are happy to share these with our customers. Ask us for a tip sheet and we’ll be happy to pass one your way.

If you’re a novice gardener, we’d love to spend the time with you to explain the techniques, tools and products necessary to create the garden of your dreams. Whether you’re creating a perennial bed, planning for a water feature, fighting fungus in the garden, or simply planting a tomato plant, we have many helpful hints to save you money as well as make your gardening experience easy and fun.

If you’re a flower aficionado looking for that rare or unique plant, Schriemer's is worth checking out. And, if you aren’t able to find that special plant in any of our greenhouses, just let us know and we’ll try our best to search it out and bring it in for you. We also carry seed from many different companies and will take special orders for seed we don’t have on our shelves or for larger quantities of seed. Give us a call and we’ll have the seed available for you in just a matter of days.

Schriemer's is always looking for organic ways to garden. We are strong believers in using chemicals only as a last resort, and much prefer supplying the knowledge to garden naturally with great results. Our varied organic product line reflects our beliefs, in that we offer organic seed, soil, fertilizers and tools for plant growth and effective weed control.

For the gardener who likes to grow their plants from the time they are young seedlings to mature plants, we are the only garden centre in the province to offer them in rows and in plug form. There’s nothing like enjoying the pleasure of growing plants from young seedlings to maturity. Working in the soil and watching the young plants mature and grow into healthy, beautiful plants can warm the heart and give pleasure that compares to nothing else!

Whether you’re looking for a few trees and shrubs for the yard in summer or simply a couple of poinsettias to brighten your living room at Christmas, Schriemer’s is the place to come. Our nursery offers a wide array of trees and shrubs for both small and large yards, as well as some great planting tips. In November, we turn into a Christmas store and our nursery is then filled with many different varieties of Christmas trees and greens, while our greenhouse turns into a sea of colour, as we grow over 12,000 poinsettias. Grab a cup of coffee, sit near our turtles and enjoy the beauty!
